HERITAGE CRAFT

Passionate about Indian craftsmanship and traditional skills, Marie Pidancet has made their preservation a core commitment at Louise Misha. The Maison regularly collaborates with workshops in India to create capsule collections that celebrate traditional craftsmanship while supporting women’s empowerment.

Saheli Women
Saheli Women

Saheli Women is an ethical social fashion enterprise founded by Madhu Vaishnav in Rajasthan. Its mission is to pass on traditional skills to women, support their financial independence, and advocate for their rights. Each woman receives fair pay, chooses her working hours, and has access to health and education programs.

For several seasons, Louise Misha has partnered with Saheli Women to celebrate a shared passion for craftsmanship. Hand embroidery, handloom, natural dyeing, block printing, bandhani, and dip dye—these six exceptional techniques bring each capsule to life. The irregularities in the pieces highlight the poetry and preciousness of handmade work.

Kalaa Sakhi
Kalaa Sakhi

Kalaa Sakhi is an organization that turns traditional craftsmanship into a tool for women’s empowerment, helping them break free from poverty and patriarchal constraints. By sharing these skills, it transforms fashion into a form of activism and a way to create lasting change.

Inspired by this mission, Maison Louise Misha has partnered with Kalaa Sakhi, featuring handmade crochet pieces created by the women of the organization in several of its collections.
