The teams pay close attention to natural fibers, selected for their comfort and quality to ensure long-lasting pieces. For instance, 79% of the Spring-Summer 2026 collection is made entirely from natural materials.

They prioritize materials with a lower environmental impact. Today, over 95% of the Maison’s cotton accessories are organic, as are nearly 60% of the women’s and children’s collections. This cotton is certified by GOTS and OCS, two labels recognized for their strict environmental and social standards.

The brand also uses recycled materials. All swimsuits are made with over 80% recycled content and are GRS-certified, which verifies both the recycled content and the company’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

Additionally, the leathers used in Louise Misha collections are Gold-certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), an international organization that sets strict environmental and social performance standards for the leather industry. The Gold level—the highest—confirms that partner tanneries have been rigorously assessed on key areas such as chemical management, water usage, waste management, and worker safety.

Care Tips

Made from high-quality materials and adorned with delicate details, Louise Misha pieces are meant to be cherished, worn for years, and even passed down. Their longevity also depends on proper care: wash only when necessary to save water and energy, and always follow the instructions on the garment label or product page. Below are a few additional tips for caring for the most delicate pieces.

Silk
Silk

Silk is noble and delicate, and it lasts a long time when properly cared for. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, avoiding soaking or rubbing. To dry, gently press between two towels, then air-dry flat or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight and heat. Iron on a low setting on the reverse side, or use a steamer.

No need to wash knits too often—air them out to refresh. When necessary, hand wash in cold water, inside out, without soaking. Rinse thoroughly, avoid twisting, and gently roll in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry in the shade, folding sleeves to prevent stretching. Do not iron. Always store folded, never hanging, to keep their shape.

Leather
Leather

Each leather piece is handcrafted and unique, with natural variations in grain and color. Over time, the color develops, adding character. Protect leather from moisture and apply a suitable waterproofing treatment regularly. Do not wash, bleach, tumble dry, or iron. For specialized cleaning, consult a leather expert.

Denim

To preserve color and shape, wash jeans infrequently. For the first wash, wash alone. Always turn inside out and wash at 30°C. Avoid the dryer—air-dry naturally. Iron on low if needed.

Delicate Details

Many Louise Misha pieces feature delicate embroidery, sometimes handmade, making them especially precious. Always follow the care instructions on the label. In general, hand wash or machine wash inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle with minimal spinning. Avoid washing with items that have hooks or zippers that could snag the embroidery, and consider using a laundry bag for extra protection. Iron on a low setting if needed.

Coats

Coats (and some jackets—check the labels for details) should be dry-cleaned to preserve their shape, finishes, and the quality of their layers.

Minimizing the Environmental Impact of Washing
Minimizing the Environmental Impact of Washing

The Maison produces very few synthetic garments, but when it does, we recommend using a Guppyfriend wash bag. It captures microplastics released during washing, protects your clothes, and helps them last longer, while reducing pollution in rivers and oceans. You can find it in our online store to add to your cart along with your favorite pieces.
