It seemed obvious for our company, which is mostly feminine and run by women, to commit to associations and companies engaged at their own level for the empowerment of women.
In 2023, we created our first capsule with Saheli Women, an ethical fashion social enterprise founded by Madhu Vaishnav in Rajasthan, whose mission is to teach women a trade & traditional skills, financially empower them, and defend their interests.
Marie, Louise Misha’s founder, and Claire, executive director, were overwhelmed not only by the talent of the women who work there, but also by the strength of a project in which every woman receives a fair wage, chooses her working hours and accesses health and education programs.
We are proud of this co-capsule, which reveals the power of manual artistry and enables us to move forward on the road to a more responsible fashion, while supporting and celebrating women, their work and initiatives, their audacity and freedom.
The first association we supported several years ago was Solidarité Femmes, a federation that supports women affected by violence and their children through concrete initiatives such as day centers and hotlines, a 24/7 helpline, the provision of over 3,000 emergency or permanent accommodation places, awareness campaigns, pleas and petitions to public and elected authorities to make certain laws changed. We regularly initiate actions that enable us to donate some of our profits to such associations, and we also strive to give them greater visibility in order to highlight their actions, the paths that can be opened up to women abused by violence, and the different ways in which they can be helped.
