We value close, long-term partnerships with the workshops we work with. They are carefully selected for their unique skills, which are hard to find elsewhere: their talent and meticulousness give our pieces their precious details.

Contrary to popular belief, production in these countries comes at a cost, as we are committed to working with the best workshops. Behind our creations there’s an entire team of committed people, without whom Louise Misha would not exist and could not keep on growing, and of whom we are very proud.

Towards More Certifications

We do our utmost to support our workshops as they develop. Transparency, traceability, certifications: together, we are making real progress towards better practices.

Our main workshops are audited or certified on social criteria to ensure that they respect human and labor rights (Wrap certification, SA8000 and SMETA, ICS, BSCI audit standards). We're just getting started with our responsible purchasing approach, and we intend to gradually extend it to a larger number of suppliers, applying the same sincerity that characterizes our entire journey.

OUR WORKSHOPS IN INDIA

Area of expertise: prints, cotton, handmade embroidery and home pieces.

We work with various Indian workshops, many of them run by families with whom we've become very close. We visit them several times a year and are always impressed by their talent, know-how and passion for their work.

OUR WORKSHOP IN MADAGASCAR

Area of expertise: warp and weft, knitwear, embroidery, smocks, crochet.

We admire and share the determination of this family-run workshop that strives to promote and preserve local know-how in Madagascar. We are also sensitive to their various commitments and initiatives in favor of the environment and the well-being of their employees (wastewater treatment, solar energy, reforestation, lactarium for young mothers, social and medical center, collaborative permaculture garden). Hence, our collaboration is based on a shared vision of fashion, combining quality, know-how and an approach that respects both people and the environment.
